UC Berkeley Eureka Intranet
Re-styled Microsoft Sharepoint interface to match theme.
Front-End Developer
In Berkeley Advancement Services, there was a switch to Microsoft Sharepoint as a way to connect Advancement Services with the campus. It featured shared knowledge and documentation, fundraising guidelines, and much more.
- Re-styled a notoriously difficult backend admin collaborative Sharepoint CMS
- CSS using lots of descendent selection and overrides
- Styling was targeted so they were as modular as possible
- Prioritized search box as way of navigating
It was a unique and challenging task styling this monolithic intranet. The tool was a welcomed relief to campus fundraisers who could find all resources on particular topics, guidelines, tools, and more all in one spot.
Microsoft is not known for their interface design, so we spiced it up a bit by theming the site with a consistent look & feel, re-arranged a few interface items, and gave it a splash login page. The developer workflow left a lot to be desired, and was cumbersome, but we persevered and everything came out great.
This project is a private intranet and is not publicly accessible.
